Eco Warriors
At Matchborough we are the proud holders of a green flag award and will be working towards achieving it again!
Keep checking back to see what we are up to and if there is any way you can be part of our ideas!

This year we have a range of warriors across the school from both Key Stage One and Key Stage 2!
The names of our warriors are below, they have enjoyed sharing ideas and support Miss Pelling towards earning the Green Eco Award flag for another year!
New warriors coming soon! We are currently in the selection process and new warriors are being voted for by their class peers.
Plant a plant day 2026
Plant a Plant Day is hopefully returning soon!

Recycle your printer cartridges!
We now have a recycling box in the main office for your printer cartridges. We can raise money for each box we can send back which we will use across the school for resources to aid the children's learning and development across the school.
Batteries!
Our battery collection is back up and running! Please bring batteries into the main office to be recycled in our battery boxes.
Spare Uniform!
Thankyou for helping yourselves to the spare uniform on parents evening!
Don't forget to donate any outgrown uniform so it can find a new home with someone else!
School Council
The Children's Council is made up of children from each class from year 2 to 4.
Council members are elected by their class peers every year and meet regularly to discuss a variety of issues that affect them in school or in the community with the support of Mrs Farr.

In previous years we had:
- Had regular meetings discussing current school issues.
- Supported Morrisons and our community by raising over £250 for Sargent CLIC, a charity that supports and helps children suffering from cancer.

- Met with our community police force and raised issues that concern us in school and in our community.
